Bookkeepology is a bookkeeping service operated by Ali Diallo. This policy covers the public website at bookkeepologyhq.com, including its inquiry, scheduling and free-resource features. A signed bookkeeping agreement and its privacy/security terms govern information handled for clients; do not send bank credentials, account numbers, or transaction files through this public website.
Information collected on this website
We collect only information needed for the feature you choose. If you separately opt in to occasional marketing emails, we collect the email address you submit and pass it to Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to manage that subscription. The month-end checklist is public and does not require an email address. If you book a meeting, Calendly may collect the information you enter on its scheduling page. Our hosting provider may process ordinary request data, such as IP address, browser and device details, and requested pages, for delivery, security and troubleshooting.
How information is used
Website information is used to respond to requests, schedule calls, deliver the feature requested, send marketing messages only after an affirmative opt-in, maintain and secure the site, and meet legal obligations. We do not require marketing consent to view or download the checklist.
Service providers and disclosures
The live marketing site is hosted by Netlify. Kit processes an email address only when you select the optional email-updates checkbox and submit the form. Calendly receives information when you choose to open and use its scheduling service. These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy notices. The marketing-site code currently includes no analytics, advertising pixels, chat SDKs, or other optional tracking scripts; hosting-level features are governed by the host’s settings and notices.
Bookkeeping-client records are handled separately under the signed service agreement. Depending on the service actually provided, that workflow may involve tools such as QuickBooks Online, Stripe, DocuSeal, or secure document exchange; the client agreement describes the applicable tools and information practices. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers acting for us, professional advisers, or authorities when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and security.
Cookies and browser storage
The site currently stores your cookie preference in first-party browser local storage so the choice is remembered. It does not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. If optional tracking is introduced, it must remain disabled until you choose to allow it. Read the Cookie Policy or reopen cookie choices.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, to maintain subscription choices, resolve requests, comply with applicable legal obligations, and protect the service. Hosting and email providers may retain limited logs or account records under their own retention practices. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in each marketing message. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we control, subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping obligations. Use the privacy and deletion request instructions or email bookkeepologyhq@gmail.com. Please do not include passwords, full payment-card details, or bank credentials. We may request proportionate information to verify and locate a request.
Children’s information
This business website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request or collect personal information from children under 13. Do not submit a child’s information through this site. If we learn that we collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Where a law requires parental notice or verifiable parental consent, we will follow that requirement before collecting, using, or disclosing the child’s information.
